Can't nobody tell him nothing.

(AllHipHop News) Billboard may have blocked Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" from the Hot Country Songs chart, but that did not stop the viral smash from making it onto Billboard's Country Airplay chart. The track debuted at #53 on that tally this week.

According to Nielsen Music, "Old Town Road" saw a 2,655% gain in audience week-over-week on Country radio stations. The bona fide hit was already one of the most streamed songs in the country.

Lil Nas X recruited Country legend Billy Ray Cyrus for the "Old Town Road" remix. The LNX-BRC version has dominated Spotify and Apple Music since its release on April 5.

"If it's country enough for Billy Ray Cyrus, it's country enough for me," stated WMAD program director Katie Kruz. "The rest of the [country panel] might not be playing it, but they have it stuck in their heads as they read this."

"Old Town Road" climbed to #1 on the Hot 100 chart on Monday. Lil Nas X currently sits at #1 on the Streaming Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and Hot Rap Songs charts as well.

Plus, celebrities such as Mark Ruffalo and Tom Brady have publicly endorsed the record. It also appears fellow Atlanta-bred Hip Hop star Young Thug could be adding vocals to yet another remix of the track.
