(AllHipHop News) A rap newcomer who allegedly ran a Nicki Minaj fan page on Twitter as a teenager is now working with Nicki's former management. Minaj reportedly parted ways with Gee Roberson and Cortez Bryant's Blueprint Group in April, but the company now represents Lil Nas X.
During their respective careers, Roberson and Bryant have worked with Hip Hop superstars such as Kanye West, T.I., Jeezy, and Drake. Lil Nas joins a Blueprint roster that presently includes Lil Wayne, G-Eazy, The Roots, Belly, and CyHi the Prynce.
"It’s only going to be bigger. That’s all I can say," said Blueprint Group President Jean Nelson in an interview with AllHipHop earlier this year. "There’s some stuff we’re working on - from music to film to TV to tech."
Nelson added, "That’s why we call ourselves The Blueprint because what everybody’s doing now - and all respect to them - that’s what me and my partners been doing since our Kanye days. Now everybody’s catching up. That’s why we call ourselves The Blueprint because we really are."
Lil Nas X also recently signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and he's currently under contract with Columbia Records. The 20-year-old's "Old Town Road" is the #1 song in America for the seventh consecutive week.
