Lil Uzi Vert's 'Luv Is Rage 2' Opens At #1; XXXTentacion's '17' Debuts At #2

The Philly rapper has the eighth highest first-week numbers for a rap artist in 2017.

(AllHipHop News) Two debut studio albums by new age rappers top the Billboard 200. The publication reports Lil Uzi Vert's Luv Is Rage 2 comes in at #1 on the chart with 135,000 first-week equivalent album units .

That total gives Uzi one of the highest opening week numbers for a rap album in 2017. Led by Kendrick Lamar's DAMN (603,000 units), only seven other Hip Hop projects collected more units in its first week of release than Luv Is Rage 2.

Uzi was followed by XXXTentacion at #2. The controversial Florida rhymer dropped his 17 album, and it ended its first week with 87,000 units.

The rest of the Billboard 200 Top 5 includes Queens of the Stone Age's Villains (#3; 73,000 units), Fifth Harmony's Fifth Harmony (# 4; 46,000 units) and Lamar's DAMN (#5; 45,000 units).
