(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne's long-awaited Tha Carter V has earned the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart in its debut week.
The rapper has earned his fourth number one record on the U.S. chart by selling 480,000 equivalent album.
He last hit the top with Tha Carter III in 2008, while his 2013 release, I Am Not a Human Being II, debuted and peaked at number two.
It is also the third-largest week for an album in 2018.
Tha Carter V was originally supposed to be released in 2014, but was delayed after Wayne became embroiled in a contract dispute with bosses at Cash Money Records.
Meanwhile, Logic's YSIV debuts at number two, while Cher's Dancing Queen comes in third and ties her highest-charting solo album following 2013's Closer to the Truth.
Kevin Gates' Luca Brasi 3 and Drake's Scorpion round out the top five, respectively.
