(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne's comeback album Tha Carter V is on pace to move half-a-million units in its first week of release. The Young Money boss stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about the long delay for his new LP.
"When I say I'm an artist - meaning I'm so into what I'm doing every day, meaning my craft, that when I have to go too far into something else I put somebody else in charge of it. When that somebody else that was in charge of it messes up, then everything blows up," explained Wayne. "That's how everything blew up. We just needed the debris to clear."
Weezy also discussed how he got into skating, his recording process, and memorizing his lyrics. He then joined The Roots to perform Tha Carter V track "Dedicate."
