Lizzo Celebrates Earning Her First Hot 100 Chart Top 10 Entry With "Truth Hurts"

The smash hit saw an 11% increase in streams, a 19% increase in sales, and a 30% increase in radio impressions.

(AllHipHop News) Lizzo released "Truth Hurts" in 2017, but the song did not make it onto the Billboard charts at that time. Nearly two years later, the record has entered the Top 10 of the Hot 100 chart for the first time. "Truth Hurts" rose 5 spots to a new peak of #6.

Lizzo expressed her joy for achieving the milestone moment by writing on Twitter, "IM CRYING IM CRYING IM CRYING IM F*CKING CRYING I LOVE YOU ALL I CANT BELIEVE IT HOLY SH*T WOW LYSM LIZZBIANS - AYE @LILNASX LETS RUN ITTTTT #GENREISOVERPARTY 😍😍😍."

She returned to the social media platform to add, "MY FIRST TOP 10 RECORD... IF TRUTH HURTS BECOMES #1 THEN THE WHOLE WORLD WILL BE 100% THAT B*TCH 🌍💯." The Atlantic recording artist also posted a video of her and some supporters popping a champagne bottle.

Last month, Lizzo introduced herself to even more potential fans with her standout performance of "Truth Hurts" at the 2019 BET Awards. The Detroit-born, Houston-raised entertainer let loose her third studio album, Cuz I Love You, in April. "Truth Hurts" appears on the deluxe version of the LP.
