The year 2015 marks LL Cool J's 30th year in hip-hop. What better way to celebrate that than to release his 15th studio album?
For his next album G.O.A.T 2, which stands for the greatest all of time, he recruited hip-hop heavyweights Eminem and T.I and gushed about hopping in the studio with the two during an interview with RapUpTV.
"I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised when they hear me and Em' on a record together," said the Queens emcee. "The record I did with T.I is crazy. The one I did with Em is super hard...It's some crazy records."
He went on to say that to miss out on this album would be a "travesty for hip-hop."
"I got a lot of young gunners on this album. People that are hungry and want to make the best music. It's about the beats and the bars and the rhymes. It's about being current and fresh and riveting, not a bunch of old, tired 95 nugget ring bullshit. It's newness."
LL says that he has a track with Bronx spitter Fred Da Godson as well.
