Def Jam's newest signee Logic made his first visit to the Breakfast Club and touched on how he plans to solidify his place in the rap game. Between taking advice from Charlemagne about not saying he is one of the greatest rappers and growing up in poverty, the Maryland native talked about getting signed to Def Jam and the reaction he had when Lupe Fiasco said he was better than Kendrick Lamar.
GETTING SIGNED TO DEF JAM BY NO I.D
"When I sat down with No I.D it was easy. Not only is he a legend and an incredible producer, musician and artist but he is now an executive at Def Jam. So for me he understood both sides of what I wanted to achieve...Thankfully that man changed my life. He gave me the deal I wanted."
HIS REACTION TO LUPE FIASCO SAYING HE WAS BETTER THAN KENDRICK LAMAR
"I had never met him. Excluding what he said about Kendrick and just being noticed in general I thought it was great. There's a lot of artists that I have looked up to when it comes to their talent and what they've done and I believe that now I'm kind of on their radar. It's amazing."
