(AllHipHop News) One of the most popular tracks in Lupe Fiasco's catalog is "Hip-Hop Saved My Life" off 2007's The Cool album. While performing in Dallas, the Chicago native revealed a snippet of a sequel to the record.
"I wanted to wait until I went to Houston, but we're not going to Houston," the Grammy-winning lyricist told the Texas crowd. "I wanted to continue the story. We can't really continue it in Houston, that's not really cool. So we're gonna continue it right here in Dallas."
"Hip-Hop Saved My Life" told the story of an underground rapper from Houston and his struggle to make a name for himself in the music industry. The original featured vocals from Nikki Jean.
