(AllHipHop News) One portion of the legal saga between Marvin Gaye's family and parties involved with Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" has come to end. The Gayes have agreed to a settlement with music publishing company Sony/ATV according to Billboard.
Sony/ATV was brought into the dueling lawsuits between the Gaye family and Thicke over the similarities between "Blurred Lines" and Gaye's “Got to Give It Up.” The Gayes accused Sony/ATV (which publishes music for both Thicke and Gaye) of not being impartial in the legal fight between the two. It was even alleged that the publishing company purposely planted a false story in the media that the family refused a six-figure offer from Thicke to make them appear “unreasonable.”
The terms of the Sony/ATV and Gaye settlement were not made public. The lawsuits between the Gaye family and Robin Thicke are still moving forward.
