(AllHipHop News) Master P has major plans for the upcoming Essence Festival, taking place over the weekend of July 5th through 8th in New Orleans.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the festival, and the No Limit rapper is going hard for his hometown.
For starters, the 49-year-old will lead a day of service at the Guste Homes Senior Residence on July 5th, ending it with the premiere of his own self-produced movie "I Got The Hook Up 2."
The action and comedy film will be screened at AMC Elmwood Palace 20 theater in Harahan.
The following day (June 6th), Master P, real name Percy Miller, will be coaching the celebrity basketball game, presented by his charitable foundation Team Hope.
Taking place at Xavier University Convocation Center, everyone from Young Dolph to Lil Boosie to Rick Ross to DC Young Fly will be participating.
Tickets to the movie premiere can be won in on-air contests held by local radio stations, while tickets to the basketball game are available for $20 on the Team Hope website.
