(AllHipHop News) The movie was written by Master P, Parde Bridget, and Wayne Conley. They bring alive the real story of a young Percy Miller and how he became one of the most influential names to Hip Hop.
Master P broke major music barriers in the late 90’s with a 80/20 distribution deal that changed the Hip Hop industry. Miller is one of the most successful rappers of all time. The New Orleans born artist-entrepreneur founded the iconic No Limit Records which has sold over 75 million albums worldwide independently in a time when Hip Hop was run by the West and East coasts.
Master P (aka The Ice Cream Man) played a significant role in the rise of Southern Hip Hop to the mainstream. His 1997 album Ghetto D went triple platinum, and the LP spawned the club anthem “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!” featuring Fiend, Silkk The Shocker, Mia X, and Mystikal.
Rising from Louisiana’s Calliope Projects to amassing an estimated net worth north of $350 million is the epitome of the American Dream, and Miller has been mentioned as one of the top ten highest grossing entertainers according to Forbes. Moviegoers will be able to witness that journey with the release of the Master P biopic in Spring 2016.
