Meek Mill Calls On 21 Savage To Be Freed From Prison

The rapper is calling on the government to give 21 Savage a break.

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill is calling for 21 Savage to be released after he was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents over the weekend.

21 Savage was detained by officials in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday as part of a "targeted operation with federal and local law enforcement partners."

Federal authorities claim the hip-hop star is a U.K. national without the correct paperwork to remain in America, and he is now facing deportation.

However, his lawyer Dina LaPolt is fighting for his immediate release, insisting his arrest is due to a "misunderstanding" and his fellow celebrities are also calling for him to be let out of custody.

"Free 21," former incarcerated rapper Meek Mill added, although it isn't clear if Meek's new $50 million justice organization The REFORM Alliance, plans to spring into action on behalf of 21.

"My sincere hope is to see this young man who has made a way for himself allowed to stay and continue to prosper and grow his legacy," rapper Killer Mike added in a showing of support. "Sincere prayers for him and his family and team. @21savage Should be allowed to remain in this country."
