Ye responds to yet another round of backlash for his comments.

(AllHipHop News) #IfSlaveryWasAChoice is currently the #1 trending topic on Twitter. The online jokes are a response to Kanye West's ahistorical take that black people chose to be chattel slaves in America.

The Internet preceded to drag Ye for hours. Even some celebrities, like Trey Songz and Ava DuVernay, had words for the "New Slaves" rapper.

Meek Mill took it a step further by posting an R.I.P. message for the "Old" Kanye. He also included lyrics from Ye's "Can't Tell Me Nothing" song.

Meek wrote in the photo's caption:

To whom much is giving much is tested .... get arrested I guess until he get the message.. I feel the pressure under more scrutiny and what I do “act more stupidly” 🤦🏾‍♂️ #oldye #wemissyoubro them bars touched me in my cell!

Kanye attempted to clear up his comments by posting on Twitter:

to make myself clear. Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will. My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved. They cut out our tongues so we couldn't communicate to each other. I will not allow my tongue to be cut

The artwork posted on Meek Mill's Instagram page was created by the New Jersey-based creative collective known as The Super Poor Kids.
