(AllHipHop News) Robert "Meek Mill" Williams and Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter are extending their business relationship. The two Hip Hop stars already work together as members of the REFORM Alliance, and Meek is signed to the management division of Jay-Z's Roc Nation entertainment company.
The Philadelphia-bred emcee/criminal justice reform advocate has now partnered with Roc Nation again in a joint venture to launch the Dream Chasers record label. Meek will serve as the President of Dream Chasers. He will put together a staff that will be responsible for talent acquisition and development, label operations, creative strategy, marketing, and other tasks.
“Creating a record label has always been the next step in my journey as a businessman and I appreciate Roc Nation and Jay-Z's support on this new venture,” stated Mill. “I want to take my experiences in the music industry, use them to find young, hungry talent and open doors for the next generation of artists.”
The Dream Chasers corporate office will be based in New York City. Additionally, the Championships album creator is opening a recording studio for DC's future acts. Meek will continue to record his own music for Maybach Music Group/Atlantic Records.
