Meek Mill's Team Denies Jay-Z Convinced Him To Back Out Of Donald Trump Meeting

"I decided not to attend, so that the focus would be solely on fixing our prison system."

(AllHipHop News) Today, a report by TMZ suggested Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter talked Robert "Meek Mill" Williams out of attending the Trump Administration's Prison Reform Summit.

A representative for Meek contacted AllHipHop to deny Jay-Z played a role in the decision not to take part in the meeting in Washington, DC.

"I was originally scheduled to be part of a panel on Prison Reform at the White House to help shed light on the issues within the system. Unfortunately, the focus turned to the President and myself which concerned me that it might take away from creating a positive result from today’s discussions," states Meek.

"As a result, I decided not to attend, so that the focus would be solely on fixing our prison system. Most importantly, I remain fully committed to improving our criminal justice system," the rap star added.
