Meek Mill Teases Possible Collaboration With Pop Smoke

It looks like the ‘Championships’ album creator is preparing to drop a new project.

I can’t waitttttttt Philly x Brooklyn s###,” wrote Meek Mill on Instagram. That caption from the Philadelphia native accompanied a teaser video that included a brief music snippet.

Instantly, internet users began speculating that the voice heard at the end of Meek’s clip was Pop Smoke. The late Brooklyn-bred rapper was killed in California last year. Meek has not confirmed the featured artist.

Pop Smoke’s chart-topping Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon was one of the best-selling albums of 2020. His singles “The Woo” featuring 50 Cent & Roddy Ricch and “For the Night” featuring Lil Baby & DaBaby were Top 20 hits.

2018’s Championships is Meek Mill’s most recent studio LP. The Dream Chasers leader dropped the 4-track Quarantine Pack in 2020, and he recently partnered with Bacardí to release a remake of Miami Sound Machine’s “Conga.”
