(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill not only reps Philly down to the bone, but he also gives back.
Now, the Championships rapper has kept his end of another promise to help revive his hometown.
On Saturday August 18, the 32-year-old rapper lifted the curtain on a refurbished basketball court in his former hood… and it looks bomb!
Meek shared photos of the court to his 17.5 million followers on Instagram with the caption, “Redid some basketball courts in my hood today!!! S/o to #puma 💪🏾👌🏾🤞🏾”
Meek partnered with a couple different organizations to help revamp the area for both kids and residents who frequent East Fairmount Park.
The traditional blacktop has now been painted blue with a fire Dreamchasers logo, paired with some inspirational quotes on the sidelines.
With the help of Puma, Roc Nation, and the Philadelphia Parks & Rec Department, Meek’s goal was to give the youth in his neighborhood the chance to “ball in the best conditions possible.”
The unveiling drew many locals including kids and adults who started hooping on the new court, with even Meek throwing a shots off himself.
