(AllHipHop News) This Friday will see the arrival of Megan Thee Stallion's new song "Hot Girl Summer" featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj. The highly-anticipated record will be the first time the two popular female rappers appear on the same track.
That upcoming collaboration was apparently birthed from a recent Instagram Live session involving Megan and Nicki. Some social media users thought Meg took a subliminal shot at Cardi B during the IG broadcast when the Houston Hottie emphasized that she writes her lyrics. The allegation that Cardi has a "ghostwriter" is a criticism Nicki used against her fellow New York City native during their long-standing feud.
During a sit down with E! News, Thee Stallion set the record straight on her feelings about the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker. Hot Girl Meg was asked if she is open to also recording music with Cardi in the future. Her answer made it clear she was not buying into the "stan wars" that takes place on the internet.
"It's really like a lot of the fans. They really make it seem like you're 'picking sides.' I really, really, really like both of them," said Megan. "They're two different people, two different rappers. It's not even the same. I feel like we need to stop trying to compare them. I love both of them, so I would definitely like to collab with Cardi too."
