(AllHipHop News) Robert Kelly is currently behind bars in Illinois after being arrested for 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. Famous lawyer Michael Avenatti apparently played a role in the singer's detention.
Avenatti is said to be working with several individuals connected to the case. A few weeks ago, the attorney claimed to have an unreleased videotape of Kelly engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl.
Kelly was acquitted by a Chicago jury of creating child pornography in 2008. Following Kelly's latest indictment in Cook County, Avenatti claimed he has yet another tape of illegal activity involving the "Sex Me" singer.
"I can confirm that we will be providing a second video showing R. Kelly engaged in sexual assault of a minor to prosecutors this morning. This tape was recently uncovered in connection with our ongoing nationwide investigation on behalf of victims. Justice must be done," tweeted Avenatti on Monday.
R. Kelly is being held in a Chicago jail on $1 million bond. His legal team told the press they are making arrangements to pay the $100,000 required to bail out the 52-year-old Grammy winner.
Steve Greenberg maintains his client is innocent of all charges. Kelly is expected to appear before a judge during a court session on Monday morning.
