(AllHipHop News) One of the key moments that took place during the shooting of Michael Brown was what exactly were his actions after he ran away from Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson's vehicle. Wilson claims Brown charged at him. Witnesses have stated that the teenager simply turned and put his hands in the air to signal he was surrendering.
Brown's mother Lesley McSpadden did an interview with Charlie Rose, and she gave her opinion on what she believed took place on that Missouri street on August 9. McSpadden insists her son complied with the instructions given by officer Wilson.
"I believe that [Wilson] asked my son to stop, and I believe that’s what he did. He stopped, and he turned around to get down on his knees like the officer asked him," said McSpadden. "I believe he was shot close up, and I don't think my son was lunging at him in any kind of way."
Both McSpadden and Brown's father Michael Brown Sr both added they felt Wilson gave inaccurate details about the encounter to cover up his wrongdoing. A grand jury decided not to indict Wilson on any charges related to the shooting of Brown. During an interview with George Stephanopoulos, Wilson expressed that he would not have done anything different in that situation.
"He knows he was wrong for what he done," stated Brown Sr.
