Miguel Reveals Rise Of Far-Right Politics & Threat Of Nuclear War Inspired 'War & Pleasure' Album

The Grammy-winning singer shares the vision for his next project with 'The Guardian.'

(AllHipHop News) Miguel is preparing to release his fourth studio album War & Pleasure. The Grammy-winning vocalist talked about the inspiration for the project in an interview with The Guardian.

"You see us on the brink of nuclear war over Twitter,” said Miguel, referring to Donald Trump's tendency to troll North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on the social network. “Or the rise of the far right in Germany and France. So my whole mindset for the album is: what are we supposed to do caught in the middle of this? We’re at the brink of complete war and complete pleasure, at all times, every day.”

Miguel has dropped the War & Pleasure singles "Shockandawe" as well as "Sky Walker" featuring Travis Scott. His previous LP, Wildheart was well-received by music critics and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
