Mike Brown's Father Calls For Peace As Ferguson Awaits The Grand Jury's Decision

THE SLAIN TEEN'S FATHER SPEAKS OUT

As the grand jury deliberates on whether to charge officer Darren Wilson with the death of the late 18-year-old Mike Brown, residents of Ferguson have been worried that the jury's decision may set off another round of riots and chaos throughout the city. In efforts to prevent another uprising, Mike Brown's father, Mike Brown, Sr., has issued a video statement.

"My family and I are hurting," he said in a 55-second clip. "Our whole region is hurting. No matter what the grand jury decides, I do not want my son's death to be in vain."

The jury's decision is expected to be announced this month.
