Missy Elliott Is The First Female Rapper Inducted To Songwriters Hall Of Fame

(AllHipHop News) Missy Elliott is one of the most well-respected female artists to enter the rap game, and now she’s getting the attention she deserves.

IThe “Work It” rapper is one of the six artists in the 2019 class officially inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

For almost 50 years now, those who have been inducted and honored into this coveted group have been known for their ability to put words and music together.

In addition to being the first female rapper included in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Missy is only the third rapper to be inducted.
