Missy Elliott, Queen Latifah, Big Sean, Lil Nas X & More Perform At 2019 VMAs

Rap stars closed out the show.

(AllHipHop News) The 2019 MTV Video Music Awards were held last night inside Newark's  Prudential Center. Several Hip Hop and R&B acts hit the stage during the ceremony.

Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award recipient Missy Elliott performed a medley of songs from her three-decade career. Lizzo, Lil Nas X, H.E.R., Normani, Big Sean, and A$AP Ferg also ran through records.

The main show ended with a surprise performance from New Jersey rap representatives Queen Latifah, Naughty By Nature, Redman, Fetty Wap, and Wyclef Jean. In addition, Megan Thee Stallion was tapped to entertain the crowd during the pre-show.
