"Monster" Collaborator Justin Vernon: I Can't Kick It With Kanye West Anymore

The Bon Iver frontman apparently takes issue with Yeezy endorsing Trumpism.

(AllHipHop News) "The n*gga be tripping, but we love Ye," said Offset on his "Clout" record. Rick Ross opened his "Vegas Residency" verse by rapping, "Watching Kanye's interview, feel like I wanna cry for every innocent brother charged with a homicide. Went from battle raps to now we wearing MAGA hats."

Kanye West's embrace of Donald Trump and the Make America Great Again movement disappointed many of the G.O.O.D. Music founder's fans and peers. With the president constantly dividing the nation on racial, ethnic, and political lines, people continue to express their issues with Ye supporting Trump while also conveying their reverence for the outspoken entertainer.

The latest celebrity to speak on West is Justin Vernon of the indie band Bon Iver. Vernon is the vocalist that appeared on Kanye's "Monster" off 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and "I Am a God" off 2013's Yeezus. Bon Iver recently released their own album titled I, I.

"I can’t really kick it with him anymore on a personal level, just the energy,” the 2-time Grammy winner told Pitchfork about Ye. “But I’ve got mad love for him, and we’re still friends." According to the article, Vernon is a supporter of progressive Democratic presidential candidates Senator Bernie Sanders and Senator Elizabeth Warren.
