'Mortal Kombat 11' Trailer Features Songs By Ice Cube & Vince Staples

Gamers will be able to play as Sub-Zero, Raiden, Jade, and other fighters in the generational clash.

(AllHipHop News) Mortal Kombat 11 will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, Nintendo Switch, and PC beginning April 23. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have revealed a new trailer for the classic video game.

The "Old Skool vs. New Skool" teaser not only showcases past and present MK11 characters, but the visuals' time-bending theme is also presented by incorporating music by a rapper from the Golden Era and one from the 2010s. Ice Cube and Das EFX’s 1993 cut “Check Yo Self” as well as Vince Staples’ 2014 record “Blue Suede” serve as the trailer's soundtrack.

Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D'Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, Kotal Kahn, Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Jax Briggs have been confirmed as playable fighters in Mortal Kombat 11. The rest of the roster will be disclosed in the coming weeks.

Consumers that pre-order the game on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, or Xbox One X at select retailers will also receive access to the closed beta. That early admittance will be available for those platforms from March 27 through March 31 in North America.
