Mother Of Fan Suing Travis Scott Over Fall Praised Rapper's Response
(AllHipHop News) The mother of a man suing rapper Travis Scott after a fall from a balcony at a New York concert left him paralyzed reportedly praised the rapper for his response to the incident.
Kyle Green claims that in April this year rowdy concertgoers shoved him from the balcony railing at the city's Terminal 5 venue.
He alleges Scott encouraged fans to jump down into the crowd from an elevated platform.
His lawyers claim he was hospitalized with a fractured back, fractured right ankle, and a broken left wrist, and is now confined to a wheelchair as the left side of his body is paralyzed.
In an email to Scott obtained by TMZ.com, the injured fan's mother wrote, "I would never punish someone who was trying to help my son. Kyle has said that he will never forget your kindness and encouragement during that terrifying time."
She also reportedly claimed that her son did not hold the rapper accountable and would not take legal action.
After the incident Scott summoned help for Green and urged his staff to clear a path so he could safely be carried from the venue.
However, Green claims those who helped him from the venue failed to take proper medical precautions by using a cervical collar (neck brace) or backboard.
Green's lawyers have also named officials at Bowery Presents, who run the venue officials as defendants in the case as he alleges they should have been aware that the rapper "had incited mayhem and chaos at prior events."
In 2015 Travis, 25, was busted for encouraging fans at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, Illinois to climb over barricades and join him onstage. He pleaded guilty to reckless conduct.
In May Scott was arrested again and charged for inciting a riot during a show in Arkansas but has pleaded not guilty.
TMZ editors also report that Scott, who is reportedly expecting a baby with reality TV star Kylie Jenner, gave the injured fan a $100,000 ring and FaceTimed him while in hospital.
