(AllHipHop News) Multi-platinum producer Murda Beatz, most recently known for producing Drake’s “Nice For What,” is giving back in a major way.

Earlier this week Murda Beatz, real name Shane Lindstrom, participated in the first-ever Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am Tournament in Los Angeles.

He took part in The E3 Expo, one of the largest electronic entertainment expos in the world.

To celebrate his success, Murda Beatz returned home to "The 6" to generously donate $20,000 to First Book Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to early literacy.

Since 2009, the company has distributed over 6 million new books to hundreds of thousands of children in need across Canada.

On Twitter, the 24-year-old posted a picture of himself alongside Toronto City Councillor Norm Kelly presenting a check for $20,000.

Drake paid this dude to make a beat that had been made over and over in New Orleans like a million times? Trigger man and a Lauryn Hill loop nets you all of this? Yeah, hip hop is dead. Well gentrified.
