(AllHipHop News) Rappers Nas and A$AP Rocky are expanding their acting resumes by landing roles in Jennifer Hudson's new movie, "Monster."
The project is music video director Anthony Mandler's first feature film, and follows a Harlem, New York high school student as he fights to clear his name in a murder case.
"The Hunger Games" Jeffrey Wright and "Roots" star Kelvin Harrison, Jr. will also appear in the movie, which will be executive produced by Nas and John Legend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
They will also oversee the soundtrack for the film.
Nas previously flexed his acting muscles in films "Belly" and "John Q," while he also appeared in TV series "Hawaii Five-O" in 2010, and A$AP Rocky recently racked up screen credits in Zoolander 2 and Dope.
Mandler's music videography includes Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" and "Get Me Bodied," Rihanna's "Diamonds" and "Disturbia," and Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble."
He also co-directed Drake's new short film "Please Forgive Me."
