Nas Says He "Might As Well" Collab With Macklemore, Advises Justin Beiber
(AllHipHop News) Nas has invested in over 40 tech startups in two years, so he is definitely conscious of staying current with the times and that does not exclude music. At Hennessy'S Super Bowl event last Sunday (February 2nd), Nas spoke to Complex on the release of his Justin Timberlake and Jay Z collaboration "Sinatra in the Sand", future Macklemore collaborations and what advice Justin Beiber needs.
40 Year old Nas is a parent of two children and in 2012 released the heart warming, parental advisory song "Daughters" from Life Is Good. Even though Nas is abreast on Justin Beiber's current troubles with the law and substance abuse, even the outspoken Nas reserved judgement and opinion when advising the young pop star on how to fix his life:
I’m not his parent. I can’t judge somebody when I don’t know what they’re going through. I preach that to the rest of the world, and I think everyone should preach that to the rest of the world. But, I mean, before anything, we shouldn’t judge and keep him in our thoughts and prayers.
When asked by Complex reporter Shanté Cosme about the possibility of him collaborating with Macklemore, Nas said it was a no-brainer:
We might as well...He’s a positive storyteller. You have to respect him for that.
According to Nas, his Timbaland-produced "Sinatra In The Sand" song should be released within the next six months or "when the time is right."
