During an appearance on The View yesterday (Jan. 13) actress Naya Rivera shared her theory on showering, deeming it something that is done too frequently by white people and not so much by people of color.
"I think that white people shower a lot more than ethics," said the Glee star. "I think that showering more than once a day or everyday is such a white people thing."
Rivera, who's African America, white and German, said that she came to this revelation after marrying her white husband, Ryan Dorsey. "He showers a lot, like two to three times a day."
The 28-year-old then used research to back up her claim, which garnered side eyes from the audience.
“A dermatologist says that you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days. So I’m right on the mark.”
Once word of what she said got out, Rivera caught the wrath of Twitter. She then encouraged people to laugh off her comments.
