Nelly Stands With Women And Rape Survivors After Investigation Dropped

The rap star is ready to get back to business now that a probe into his behavior has ended.

(AllHipHop News) Nelly has revealed he's "standing with real survivors" after the sexual assault case against him was dropped.

Nelly was accused by an anonymous woman of masturbating in front of her and forcing his penis in her mouth after one of his U.K. concerts in 2017.

Nelly had consistently maintained the woman's story is bogus, and the case was dropped earlier this week when she stopped co-operating with police officials.

Nelly, 44, has now issued a statement, in which he said he's ready to get on with his life following the scandal.

"I am very thankful to the U.K. police for thoroughly investigating the false allegations against me and I am satisfied with the results of this case and the previous one in the US, both driven by the same attorney, both being dropped," Nelly said in a statement.

"I stand with women and real survivors and can’t wait to just focus on what I love, family, music and reconnecting with the fans that have stood by me through these turbulent times."

In September, Nelly settled a separate lawsuit with a U.S. woman who had accused him of rape, and he is also facing a second assault allegation from a woman who claimed he assaulted her backstage at a show in Birmingham, England in 2016.
