New Zealand Lifts Travel Ban On Tyler, The Creator For 2020 Bay Dreams Festival

The Grammy-nominated performer is "no longer deemed to be a potential threat to public order and the public interest."

(AllHipHop News) Tyler, The Creator is able to travel to New Zealand again. The Pacific Ocean island has lifted its ban on the Igor album creator. Bay Dreams, a music festival set in Mount Maunganui and Nelson, tapped Tyler to headline the 2020 event. He will be joined on the bill by Skepta, Yelawolf, Ella Mai, Gunna, and more.

Back in 2014, New Zealand barred Tyler and his Odd Future crew from entering the country. Immigration officials said at the time, "Odd Future has been deemed to be a potential threat to public order and the public interest for several reasons, including incidents at past performances in which they have incited violence."

Tyler, The Creator was also prohibited from visiting the United Kingdom at one point. Earlier this year, the U.K.’s Home Office allowed the California-raised musician to legally return to the European nation after implementing a 3-5 year restriction in 2015.
