(AllHipHop News) Nick Cannon is adding another tier to his long resume of talents: on-air radio personality.

And not just any radio station, the Wild ‘N Out host joins the Meruelo Media’s Power 106, #1 for Hip Hop, as their new morning show host.

A spot previously held by J Cruz, who recently made the move to Power’s competitor Real 92.3, the 39-year-old brings decades of experience in music and entertainment.

Effective Monday, June 17th, the new show will be titled Nick Cannon Mornings, airing daily from 5 am to 10 am.

In a press release from the station, President and COO of Meruelo Media Otto Padron states, “Nick is the quintessential entertainer and content creator who will take our media game to the next level. His tremendous success across television, film, and music is a testimony of his unique talent, work ethic, and impeccable reputation.”

The position has been in the works for quite some time now, in a deal worked out between program director DJ E-Man and Cannon himself.

Cannon also shares the same love for the station.

“Power 106 is one of the most substantial fixtures in our Hip Hop culture that has proven time and time again that they are #1 and not going anywhere! Los Angeles is used to star players joining star franchises! I’m just honored for the opportunity to make our community and Culture proud. All I can say is it’s Ncredible!”
