Nick Cannon Plans To Release A Bruno Mars-Like Pop Album

The N'Credible Entertainment head is working on the follow-up to his 'White People Party Music' project.

(AllHipHop News) Nick Cannon is currently hosting The Masked Singer competition series, and Wild ‘N Out is back on MTV today (February 1) for its 13th season. Plus, Cannon is set to temporary take over for Wendy on The Wendy Williams Show.

The 38-year-old entertainer is also dropping new music in the near future. However, Cannon is apparently moving away from his rap roots for a more Pop sound.

"There’ll be singing. It will be kind of a Bruno Mars thing,” Cannon told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. A full-length album is expected to land later this year.

Nick Cannon has released two studio LPs - his 2003 self-titled debut and White People Party Music in 2014. He scored a Top 40 hit with "Gigolo" in 2003.

"Gigolo" was co-written by R. Kelly, and the R&B singer appears on the track. Kelly has faced substantial public backlash after Lifetime's Surviving R. Kelly docuseries presented information about decades-long accusations of sexual misconduct.

“It’s these women we need to focus on more than the individual,” said Cannon about the allegations against Kelly. “The more we can empower women and empower movements like #TimesUp and #MeToo, and listen and hear their stories and be there for them, that’s the most important thing."
