(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop royalty Nicki Minaj was among the celebrities to appear at this year's Met Gala in New York City. While walking the red carpet, the Queens borough representative stopped to make an announcement about her forthcoming LP.
"I just let the world know my album is coming on June 15 and it's called Queen," revealed Nicki.
Queen enters a very crowded month of rap album releases. Projects by Drake, Kanye West, Kids See Ghost (West & Kid Cudi), and Brockhampton are expected to arrive in June. According to Ye, Nicki's rumored ex-boyfriend Nas is dropping a project on the 15th as well.
Minaj will hit the SNL stage on May 19. The Young Money spitter is expected to perform her latest singles "Barbie Tingz" and "Chun-Li."
Her last studio album was 2014's The Pinkprint. The star-studded effort debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 244,000 first-week units.
