(AllHipHop News) So much for focusing on positive things. Nicki Minaj decided she wasn't holding back on a certain fashion designer. The head of the Steve Madden brand found himself in the middle of the Nicki versus Cardi B beef.
"Same thing with Steve Madden. Irv Gotti asked me to do that deal several times. I passed. You never hear me talking bout things like this," tweeted Minaj in the midst of her Monday night digital showdown with Cardi.
The following day the Steve Madden Twitter account fired back by tweeting, ".@NICKIMINAJ you can't turn down an offer that was never made. #StopLying."
Then 50 Cent and Iggy Azalea jumped into the fray by defending Nicki against Madden. Minaj returned to Twitter to write, "@SteveMadden thought I was lying you dumb f*ck. You, Irv & Gee Roberson came to my house in MALIBU BEGGING me to do the deal. I said no. You then did a deal w/Iggy & she hated the pics you used & went in on you online. Im sure Irv told you to post this lie. Respond to @50cent."
The Steve Madden account offered somewhat of a mea culpa by presenting a statement credited to the company's founder. However, Nicki felt Madden lied on her, and she wasn't ready to let the situation die down. The native New Yorker continued to slam the businessman on the social media platform.
".@NICKIMINAJ is an incredibly talented artist but we couldn’t work together cuz the timing wasn’t right. @iamcardib came on the scene and I had a fantastic collaboration with her, and she is also an amazing talent. I love both @NICKIMINAJ and @iamcardib music. I hope they can reach some peace — together they could probably take over the world. There is a lot of negativity out there right now, and I shouldn’t have contributed to that," read the note from Madden.
The Queens rapper replied, "Eat a d*ck n*gga. You lied on me cuz it was the trendy thing 2do! Ain’t nobody buyin that clown sh*t. We couldn’t work together cuz I said the shoes were ugly. You see how when you do clownery it comes back to bite? WE NOT BUYING IT!!!!!! Respond to 50 instead of picking on women."
Additionally, Nicki declared that her fans will never support Steve Madden again. She also threatened to "say smthn way more embarrassing" if Madden didn't keep quiet.
