(AllHipHop News) At this point, it’s all about damage control with Kanye West.
After an insane week which includes Ye coming forth about an opiod addiction after getting liposuction, many fans were left in turmoil.
This caught the attention of a senator in Nigeria, who readies himself to make an attempt at putting some sense into Kanye.
Nigeria lawmaker Shehu Sani voices his concerns via Twitter, stating, “If Kanye West thinks slavery was a choice, we will offer him a free ticket and tour guide to visit slave routes and camps in Badagry, Lagos, Ouida, Benin Republic, Ghana and Goree Island in Senegal to 'experience the choices in chains. Kanye defecated on the graves of victims.”
It’s clear Sani felt as West's statements on transatlantic slave trade were insensitive on the victims. Amidst the backlash, Ye also feels he was misunderstood.
In a since-been deleted tweet, Kanye states, “[T]o make myself clear. Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will. My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved.”
Prayers to Kanye.
