It appears Los Angeles law enforcement is backing off leaked info associated with the late emcee/activist.

(AllHipHop News) There have been reports that the Los Angeles Police Department was investigating Nipsey Hussle before he was killed on March 31. However, police and prosecution insiders are now apparently disputing those claims.

According to TMZ, sources within the LAPD and L.A. City Attorney's office now say Nipsey was not the specific target in the criminal probe. The investigation supposedly centered around confronting gang activity in the area surrounding the late emcee's The Marathon Clothing store.

Just prior to his passing, Nipsey was said to be planning to meet with local police officials about finding ways to prevent gang violence in South Los Angeles. The Rollin 60's Neighborhood Crips representative/Victory Lap album creator was also known to invest in the Crenshaw neighborhood where he was raised.

Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom was shot multiple times outside The Marathon Clothing. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Eric Holder was indicted on one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and assault with a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with the shooting.
