(AllHipHop News) The grandmother of hip-hop star/activist Nipsey Hussle is speaking out against violence in the wake of her grandson's shocking death.
Nipsey, real name Ermias Davidson Asghedom, was shot and killed in Los Angeles, by a local man named Eric Holder on March 31.
Investigators believe Holder had a personal dispute with the rapper when he murdered him in the parking lot of The Marathon clothing store Nispey owned.
“I never knew there was so much love like I love him. So that’s uplifting that so many people loved and understood him,” Nipsey Hussle’s 88-year-old grandmother Margaret Boutte told CBS2.
Boutte said she hoped young people in the community would honor Nipsey's message and "live a better life," while admitting she was praying Eric Holder as well.
“I’m praying for him too. I hope he does not get killed in custody. Have enough time to ask God for forgiveness,” she said. “I’m Catholic, I do believe in prayer and I’m praying for him. He was a young, ignorant situation and I’m hoping he’s sorry for what he did.”
