Nipsey Hussle's Memorial Site Reportedly Shut Down Over Grifters At The Scene

Fans just want to say goodbye to the late emcee/activist/entrepreneur.

(AllHipHop News) Many people are still mourning the tragic death of Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom. A fan-made memorial was created at the site where Nipsey was gunned down in Los Angeles.

A new article published by TMZ claims the commemorative tribute outside Hussle's Marathon Clothing store is being shut down. Apparently, the location has become chaotic because of a high number of people attempting to make money off the grieving public.

The entertainment website reports:

Here's what the wild scene outside Nipsey's shuttered store looked like ... people selling bootleg t-shirts with Nipsey's image, others demanding money for a tour of the neighborhood, and some even charging fans just to walk through the area where Nipsey was shot. The memorial became so busy, food trucks started parking outside. Sources close to Nipsey tell us the whole thing reeked of disrespect ... and they felt like he was not being properly honored, so they're closing up shop.

Asghedom was shot in front of the Marathon establishment located at Crenshaw Boulevard and West Slauson Avenue. The intersection is set to be renamed Nipsey Hussle Square.

Numerous members of the Hip Hop community offered public condolences to the Grammy-nominated rapper following his death on March 31. A sold out funeral service for Asghedom was held in the Staples Center in L.A. on April 11.
