(AllHipHop News) Yung Miami (born Caresha Brownlee) was the apparent victim of a shooting in South Florida on Tuesday morning. Various videos supposedly connected to the situation spread across the internet.
DJ Akademiks posted a clip of Caresha speaking about the incident. He captioned the tweet, "Yung Miami explaining to the cops what happened when the bullets started firing at her G Wagon."
Brooklyn rapper Nitty Scott took issue with Akademiks' framing of the conversation in the video. The "BBYGRL" performer replied to the Everyday Struggle host's tweet by writing, "She’s not talking to cops in this video, dweeb."
It is not clear exactly who was present at the scene when Yung Miami was clarifying what happened during the gunfire. However, some outlets have reported that she was talking to her boyfriend Southside, an Atlanta-area producer.
"They had their lights off, so I never saw them. Whoever it was, they had their lights off. I don't know where they came from," Caresha can be heard saying. "It came from behind. The shots started from behind. They started from behind, because when I got to the stop sign I said, 'Oh sh*t somebody's shooting.'"
The pregnant "Act Up" hitmaker was not injured. At first, Yung Miami informed her Instagram followers that she was okay, but she later returned to the social media platform to post, "Keep looking at my pictures & all my mentions like it really could've been R.I.P. 💔😢 I'm really not okay!"
