(AllHipHop News) Many music pundits predict Normani Kordei Hamilton will be the next huge R&B/Pop star. The former Fifth Harmony member has already gained praise for songs like "Love Lies" with Khalid and "Dancing with a Stranger" with Sam Smith.
Normani is being further introduced to the general public as a solo artist by serving as the tour opener for one of the most successful artists today. Consistent chart-topper Ariana Grande selected the 22-year-old vocalist/dancer to perform on the "Sweetener World Tour."
The trek kicked off March 18 in Albany, New York at the Times Union Center. Some concert attendees were surprised to see Normani cover a Rihanna medley as well as Aaliyah's "One In A Million."
"I want to make music that I grew up listening to and for me, going back and taking it back to R&B and my vocals being in the driver's seat," said Normani in a 2018 interview. Recently, the singer-songwriter appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with 6LACK where they ran through their duet "Waves."
