The Migos member is also asked about the existence of the so-called "Hip Hop Police."

(AllHipHop News) Cardi B has yet to publicly address her deleted tweet where she claimed a New York City police officer put her in a chokehold. However, the Bronx native's boyfriend did speak to TMZ about the alleged incident.

"At first when she called [me], I didn't think she was being serious until I seen her face," recalled the Migos member. "I was like, 'The police can't put their hands on you.' She was like, 'They choked her out.'"

He added, "It was supposed to be two other people fighting and they didn't touch the dudes that was fighting. They touched her. So I don't understand what's going on?"

Offset also talked about the so-called "Hip Hop Cops." The 25-year-old Atlanta performer stated, "Oh yeah, they're real. For sure."

There are numerous accounts about the NYPD having a special unit dedicated to following rappers. A 2005 article on the Smoking Gun website presented a 500-page dossier from the department which contained rap sheets, mug shots, and incident reports of numerous Hip Hop stars.

In 2014, Page Six reported the "Hip Hop Squad" has a watch list that included Drake, Chris Brown, French Montana, Fabolous, and others. There was speculation the unit was involved in 2 Chainz's listening party getting shut down this past June.
