Zoinks! Weve reached the halfway point of the season in this Halloween edition of OUT OF BOUNDS. Speaking of Halloween, what a scary season it has been. Its as if the supernatural and paranormal has wreaked havoc on the NFL so far this season with all of the strange happenings. Teams like the Colts, Chargers and Cowboys, who were going to be killers like Michael Myers, are now looking to be victims like Laurie Strode.
The nightmare hasnt only been on Elm Street either. Freddie Krueger has made a home in Cincinnati while teams like Tennessee, have been fighting off this nightmare season as if they were Nancy Thompson.
Therefore, before we get into the games, I want to share with you the scariest things to happen in the history of the NFL and quite possibly in Hip-Hop. Other than the night Lawrence Taylor broke Joe Thiesmans leg, this is the only other thing that can scarethebejesus out of me. Every time I see this, I have to turn my head. If you have a weak stomach or a bad heart, skip down to the games. This is not for the squeamish. Only the brave can handle something as terrible as this:
I dont know if any of you guys have been following his blog or not, but Lil Wayne has been on a roll. I just caught up with his blog today and Wayne has been sounding off on a number of topics. Just a note to Haughville, who has become the voice of Cowboy fans for this site; peep the title of Waynes latest post. After you see the title and read his thoughts, I may have some more company on your hihaters.net list.

Congrats to Lil Wayne on the birth of his son. God Bless and many more.
ALLHipHops NFL Game of the Week for Week 09
Monday Night Football, 10/27/08, 8:30pm
Halloween falls on a Friday this year. For the Colts, it may come a little early this year because Monday Night they face the only undefeated team in the league and that may end up as a Fright Night for the Colts.
One week the Colts offense is destroying their opponents. Another week they look like they forgot how to play football. This team has been very inconsistent this season. Its as if this team has taken to a Jekyll and Hyde mentality. If they want to win this season, they need to be more Hyde than Jekyll.
The Titans have been finding ways to win because of great defense and solid, smart football. They have the third best defense in the league and the offense has been playing well despite being ranked 21st in the league. Because of the Colts inconsistency this season, the safe bet is the Titans in this game.
My Pick: Titans
Here are the rest of the games for Week 08 in the NFL.
Sunday, 10/26/08, 1pm games
For the second year, the NFL is taking a trip across the pond to Jolly Ole England. The leagues leader in passing yards, Drew Brees, looks to get revenge against his old team while Philip Riversishoping to add to his league leading 108.5 QB rating. This game will be the Battle of the QBs.
Both teams lost last weekend, so both of these teams are looking impress the overseas fans, and to get back on the winning track.
Although the Saints offense has been explosive this season, I have to go with the Chargers. The reason why the Saints offense has been so explosive is because of RB Reggie Bush and Bush is out with an injury. That leaves the Saints offense a little flat. Look for the Chargers to try to establish their rushing offense and run away with the victory against the Saints.
My Pick: Chargers
With the Chiefs suffering injuries at the QB position, Ty Thigpen will get the start this weekend. The Chiefs cant afford another QB injury. Before you know it, head coach Herm Edwards will be under the center taking snaps.
With Thigpen at QB and RB Larry Johnsondeactivated for a second week in row, the Jets have the edge. Now that I think about it, the Jets had the edge before the injuries and the deactivation. The Jets have the better personnel on both sides of the ball and the Chiefs are just hurting right now. The safe bet is the Jets in this game.
My Pick: Jets
In the Battle of The Birds, both the Eagles and the Falcons will meet up after their bye week. The safe bet in this game is the Eagles. The Eagles are ranked 10th in the league while the Falcons are ranked ninth overall in the league. The x-factor, the Eagles defense is ranked seventh overall in the NFL while the Falcons defense is ranked 25th.
Since the Eagles have the better defense, Im going to roll with the Eagles in this match-up.
My Pick: Eagles
This is the perfect game for the Bills to pad their AFC East lead. Although the Dolphins have made a little noise this season with their wins against the Pats and the Chargers, theyve lost their last two games and are looking like the Dolphins of old.
The Bills offense is moving the ball well and the Bills 10th ranked defense looks to be too much for the Dolphins and their 17th ranked offense to handle.
My Pick: Bills
The Pats went to Denver and reminded NFL fans that its not safe to count the Patriots out just yet. The Rams, under Jim Haslett, have won two games in a row. Both wins came against NFC East teams.
While the Rams are riding a high, that ride is will be end this weekend in Foxboro. The Pats offense is rolling and although the Pats took a hit on defense with the loss of Rodney Harrison, Bill Belichick will find a way to adjust his teams defense.
As impressive as the Rams play has been for the past to weeks, it wont be enough to stop the experienced Patriots.
My Pick: Patriots
The Cards have won two games in a row and their offense has looked very good in the passing game as of late. While their offense is ranked sixth in the league, their defense is ranked 14th.
Although the Cards offense is playing well, the Panthers have the defensive experience on their side. With the fifth best defense in the league and an offense that has found its rhythm despite being ranked 16th in the league, the Panthers have the edge in this game.
My Pick: Panthers
The NFLs version of the Army of Darkness was able to get the win last week for their new coach against the Jets. The Ravens were able to gain some of their dignity back with a win against the Dolphins last week. Well theyll be able to gain some more of that dignity in this game against the Raiders.
The Ravens offense may not be the greatest, but their defense is the backbone of the team and thats why they win games. You can bet a bounty that the Ravens will win this Sunday.
My Pick: Ravens
The Redskins got back on the winning track last week with a victory against the Browns. The Lions couldn't find the winning track even if Usain Bolt was running on it.
Dont look for any phone calls from Joe Gibbs with clues on how to beat the Redskins for the Lions. Even with the help, the Lions still stink. This game is the Redskins' to lose.
My Pick: Redskins
With the way things are going in Texas, it looks as though the Cowboys season is going down the toilet. No pun intended. Therefore, for the first time this season, I have to go against the Cowboys.
Theres just too much going on with the Cowboys right now. With Romo out and the secondary hurting, the Bucs have an edge. It will interesting to see how the defense will adjust with head coach Wade Phillips taking over the defensive play calling duties from Cowboys Defensive Coordinator Brian Stewart.
The Bucs have looked solid in the NFC South and heres their chance to make a name for themselves in the NFC with their consistent play.
With all of the big chaos going on in Big D, the Buccaneers are the safe choice.
My Pick: Buccaneers
The Texans may be 2-4, but at least theyre not 0-6 like the Bungles. The Texans have the fifth best offense in the NFL. Since the Bungles have no defense, the Texans should get the win.
My Pick: Texans
The Jags are coming into this weekends match-up after a win in Week 06 and their bye week. The Browns, who played the Giants very well back in Week 06, are coming into this game after a loss to the Redskins.
The Jags will win this game through their ground game. The Jags are ranked 14th in rushing offense while the Browns are ranked 26th in rushing defense. Neither team will go to the air too much in this game. Both teams are either down, or will be down a wide receiver this weekend. WR Matt Jones for the Jaguars is serving a three game suspension while Browns TE Kellen Winslow, Jr. is appealing a one game suspension.
With the better running attack, Im taking the Jags in this game.
My Pick: Jaguars
The leagues best defense (Steelers) versus the leagues second best offense (Giants). This is going to be a good game. For this game, Im going with the Giants. The Steelers are hurting with injuries. Although their defense is ranked first in the league, their offense in ranked 25th.
As already mentioned, the Giants have the second best offense in the league, but their defense is fourth best defense in the league. Thats the deciding factor in this game and thats why the Giants will win.
My Pick: Giants
Welcome to the Mike game. Mike Nolan was fired by the 49ers on Monday. Samurai Mike Singletary was introduced as the 49ers interim head coach on Tuesday. Some thought the 49ers head coaching position job would go to 49ers Offensive Coordinator Mike Martz, if or when Nolan left the team.
Now current Seahawks head coach and former 49er Assistant Coach Mike Holgremcomesinto San Francisco with rumors connecting him to the 49ers head coaching position. Wow, theres a lot happening on the West Coast right about now.
The Niners defense is better than how they have performed as of late. With Matt Hasselbeck most likely out of this Sundays game with a bad back, the Niners defense has a good chance to take it to the Seahawks offense.
With the Niners defense and a hurting Seahawks offense, the 49ers are the way to go.
My Pick: 49ers
Sunday Night Football
No Sunday Night Football due to the MLB World Series
