(AllHipHop News) Back in March, many people viewed PartyNextDoor as the villain in the real life relationship drama that played out after he posted an intimate picture of himself with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Kehlani.
It was believed Kehlani was still dating NBA star Kyrie Irving at the time Party uploaded the photo to Instagram.
The controversy reportedly led to Kehlani attempting to take her own life after the overwhelming criticism she received online.
Party has now addressed the situation in a new interview with Rolling Stone.
"I regret how it went down," said PND. "Big time I regret how it went down. I look into people's eyes and I know they think I'm a bad guy. There's a lot of details that people don't know."
The year 2016 actually started off as a big one for the Canadian singer-songwriter.
PartyNextDoor co-wrote Rihanna and Drake's smash hit "Work" and his own "Come and See Me" broke into the Billboard Hot 100.
The OVO representative suggested the public spectacle is over and he is ready to move on.
"I just hope people understand that was a year for him," stated Party, referring to himself in third person. "And I hope everyone has a successful year, and I hope that's in the past."
The PartyNextDoor 3 album arrived in stores on August 12.
