(AllHipHop News) This is what happens when two music icons link up.
Now, Canadian singer-songwriter Paul Anka has announced a forthcoming collaboration with Toronto’s own Drake.
The news comes in the midst of Canadian Music Week 2018, at the Music and Broadcast Industry Awards.
As Paul accepted his Lifetime Achievement Award from fellow artist Michael Bublé, he let the cat out of the bag.
“I’m working with a brilliant young artist who is as hot as you can get right now,” Anka stated. “A fellow young Canadian and his name is Drake. We recorded something that will be released, out in June. That’s all I can tell you.”
Two and a half months ago, Paul posted a picture of the duo to his Instagram page.
The caption stated “One of the great nights...lots to follow! Love working with Drake” — the first tease of the two in the studio.
Paul, 76 and Drake, who is 31, can now look forward to their end product as soon as next month, possibly on his album Scorpion, which is also due out in June.
