PBS To Air Documentary About Hip Hop Broadway Musical 'Hamilton'

FANS WILL GET TO SEE BEHIND-THE-SCENE MOMENTS OF THE AWARD WINNING PRODUCTION

(AllHipHop News) The Broadway musical Hamilton has become an entertainment phenomenon. President Barack Obama praised the production, Questlove and Black Thought of The Roots executive produced the play’s Top 20 album, and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda was named one of the Top 10 Rap Geniuses of 2015.

According to reports, PBS is set to air a documentary about Hamilton as part of the network’s Great Performances series. The film, titled Hamilton’s America, began shooting in 2013 and will premiere this fall.

Since its arrival on Broadway last summer, Hamilton has received rave reviews and picked up numerous awards. It is also one of the hardest tickets to get in New York City. The show has been sold out for most of its run at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. However, there is a weekly “Hamilton Lottery” which gives people the chance to win two $10 tickets to the performance.
