Pharrell To Make Digital Musical Instruments As New Co-Owner Of ROLI

(AllHipHop News) Pharrell Williams is working with a new music tech company to guide the creative vision of the business.

Pharrell has been named Chief Creative Officer of ROLI.

The hitmaker will lead the company in creating new, digitally connected musical instruments.

"Music touches all of us, and for a long time I've been passionate about finding ways to share the power of music with more people," Pharrell explained. "When I met Roland and ROLI, I immediately felt we were working towards exactly the same goals, and so I'm super excited that we’re kicking off this partnership.”

ROLI plans to work with Pharrell to build upon the success of their flagship music-making innovations, Seaboard and BLOCKS.

As part of their long-term partnership, Pharrell will invest in and become a co-owner of ROLI.

“Our mission is to empower everyone to create music, and more broadly to empower people as creators," said Roland Lamb, founder of ROLI and inventor of its instruments. "Pharrell is not just an extraordinary musician, he embodies creativity.
